Hermes Agent
A private, self-hosted AI assistant used by one person — its owner.
What this application is
Hermes Agent is a personal automation tool that runs on its owner's own server. It is not a public service and has no other users. It connects to the owner's Google account so the owner can ask the assistant, in natural language, to do routine work: read and summarise email, draft or send replies, look at the calendar and create or move events, and find, read or upload files in Google Drive.
What it can access
- Gmail — search, read, label, and send messages on the owner's instruction.
- Google Calendar — list calendars and create, edit or delete events.
- Google Drive — search, read, upload and organise the owner's own files.
- Google Docs and Sheets — read and edit documents and spreadsheets.
- Contacts — read the owner's contact list to resolve names to addresses.
Access is limited to the single Google account the owner authorises. The assistant never acts on any other person's data, and nothing is sold, published or shared with third parties.
Who controls it
Only the account owner. The connection can be revoked at any moment from the Google Account permissions page, which immediately ends all access.
Privacy
How data is handled is described in the privacy policy, including the owner's commitment to the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.
